ROSE CAMERON

There is always something special about travelling by horse. A sense of belonging to the country around you; the rhythm, pace and camaraderie of your horse and the feeling that you are stepping back from the modern day world - particularly when you share it with friends. Riding holidays have always been a large part of my life and in 2019 I launched my own company with the aim of recreating some of the unique adventures I have enjoyed thanks to my father. He has organised multiple rides all over the world, all following in the footsteps of a historical story - something which I believe adds another layer of interest to a riding holiday.

When Covid-19 struck all plans were off and so I looked to my own doorstep for inspiration. I realised that one does not have to cross an ocean for a really good riding holiday and that England has so many lovely routes to offer. With the help of knowledgeable locals, Ordnance Survey maps and history books, I have researched, walked and ridden some wonderful riding routes that show off the English countryside at its best. Having somewhere special to stay after a day in the saddle really completes and lifts a riding holiday which is why I am delighted to have a variety of lovely places to stay on these rides in Lambourn and Dorset which are exclusively available to our guests.

It has been great fun planning these rides, discovering hidden gems and I can vouch for the generous hospitality of our hosts on all rides. I hope you will be encouraged to join on one soon.
